San Diego Symphony

With a name like Jahja Ling, the possibilities are, well, “dazzling.” A piano wunderkind at age 4, Ling became the music director of the San Diego Symphony in 2004. MG conceived and executed a comprehensive launch program including street banners, posters, bus shelter advertising and radio spots that played off Ling’s name: headlines promised “spine tingling” musical treats. The Symphony — and concertgoers — weren’t disappointed: ticket sales were the swiftest they’d been in years.
