San Diego Symphony
When the maestro’s name is as interesting as the orchestra he conducts.

With a name like Jahja Ling, the possibilities are, well, “dazzling.” A piano wunderkind at age 4, Ling became the music director of the San Diego Symphony in 2004. Miriello Grafico was tapped to create an awareness campaign designed to introduce Ling and a revitalized Symphony to the San Diego community. MG conceived and executed a comprehensive launch program including street banners, posters, bus shelter advertising and radio spots that played off Ling’s name: headlines promised “spine tingling” musical treats. The Symphony — and concertgoers — weren’t disappointed: ticket sales were the swiftest they’d been in years.
