			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Each year the San Diego Ad Club selects one person to receive the <a href="http://www.sandiegoadclub.com/PSAward" target="_blank">Paula E. Sullivan Outstanding Achievement Award</a>. The award is presented to individuals who have continually demonstrated their active involvement and dedication to the San Diego advertising and graphic design community and share their accomplishments and inspiration with the community. The award evolved as well into honoring an individual with the Paula E. Sullivan Outstanding Achievement Award.</p>
<p>Ron accepted the award and spoke before the 2012 Addys creative awards winners were announced at Club Anthology in downtown San Diego earlier this month.</p>
<p>The Paula E. Sullivan Award is a tribute to a beloved woman who worked diligently to foster the San Diego creative community for several decades.</p>

As they dominate the golf market, TaylorMade-adidas took a get-away break to celebrate the role of design in their success and more importantly, to ensure it remains a permanent part of the corporate culture. Miriello Grafico coordinated and led the three-day “Design Camp” held in Santa Monica. Guest speakers and co-presenters included automobile designer <a href="http://www.chipfoose.com/ws_display.asp?filter=Biography" target="_blank">Chip Foose</a> and former Disney executive <a href="http://www.goodmanexperiences.com/profiles.html" target="_blank">David Goodman</a>. Ron Miriello served as a speaker and design mentor for the Camp.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The recent touch screen interactive display created for Ron Miriello’s <a href="http://100worldsproject.com/">100 Worlds Project</a> has created quite a buzz among attendees. “We need this in our auto showrooms” and “This is the future of our tradeshow strategy” were just two of the many comments we overheard during the exhibition.</p>
<p>Clients, partners and friends are seeing what’s possible when design and technology are seamlessly integrated. And they are asking how MG can create one for them. User-controlled experiences like the touch screen acknowledge the intelligence of the audience and “let them drive” their interaction with the brand. It’s a new platform for strategic design, and one that MG is energized about. The 100WP touch screen was programmed by interactive firm <a href="http://ljgpartners.com/">LJG Partners</a> and includes a behind-the-scenes look at Ron Miriello’s creative process including video segments on all 50 globes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At Miriello Grafico, we consistently challenge ourselves to take on unconventional projects and initiatives, to think outside of a normal branding firm’s box, and push the envelope of brand expression. When Creative Director Ron Miriello embarked on his passion project called the “100 Worlds Project”, we saw it as an opportunity to do something new – to reinvent how a traditional art exhibition can be planned, promoted and branded, and invite our clients to experience innovation in a new way.</p>
<p>MG has launched <a href="http://www.100worldsproject.com">www.100worldsproject.com</a>, designed and published a <a href="http://www.blurb.com/books/1975331">book</a>, and are collaborating with<a href="http://www.ljg.com/"> LJG Partners</a> on an interactive touch-screen display, which will be on display at the show.</p>
<p>We invited other partners to promote the exhibition, like PR superstars <a href="http://baybirdinc.com/">BayBird Inc.</a>, who cooked up some great buzz with editorial endorsements from local and regional publications.</p>
<p>The exhibition opens at <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/JETT-Gallery/352952567180?v=wall">JETT Gallery</a> in Little Italy on February 18, and the reception will surely be a party to remember. The show runs through March 26, 2011.</p>

<p>The HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala took place on Jan. 31 in New York. Out of 1,000 entries from around the globe, submissions were judged by expert hospitality, travel, tourism and media professionals. The Adrian Awards is the world’s largest advertising, digital marketing and public relations competition for the travel and tourism industry.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The ballroom of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas came alive last week as MG’s short film on doing business in San Diego played for 2,000 influential meeting planners at the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) annual meeting. The destination film, produced by MG and directed by MG partner Tallgrass Pictures, thematically delivers on strategic positioning work completed earlier this year by MG on behalf of the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau and Port Authority.</p>
<p>The film follows five business travelers who come to San Diego and experience the city’s unique “vibe” that leads to inspiration and innovation. Its debut showing at PCMA 2011 served as the <em>San Diego / Where Ideas Emerge</em> campaign launch, intended to promote the destination as ideal for generating breakthrough ideas and moving business forward.<br />
