Ron’s Globe Exhibition Set for February 2011 Opening. Sneak Preview in December 2010.

The first installation of  Ron Miriello’s 100 Worlds Project has been slated for a February opening date at Jett Gallery in Little Italy. Ron has been working on this passion project for over a year, and is ready to reveal the first 50 globes in this much anticipated exhibition. Opening on February 18 at Jett Gallery in Little Italy. The exhibition will be on view through March 26, 2010.

In his own words, Ron describes the genesis of the 100 Worlds Project:

My day-to-day work of creating is for my clients – using creativity to better their business, to improve brand perception, or to express their company’s values to customers. I love the work that I do, but I also felt a need to create for the sake of creating, and engage with my community of like-minded “creators”. To me, the globe is more than a metaphor for the world, it’s a metaphor for collaboration. What began as a project of using found objects around me to construct the first piece, grew into a series. The series grew as I invited people to participate and contribute to create more globes. It’s been a magnet for creative collaboration with clients, craftsmen, photographers and designers…all who have become a part of the 100 Worlds project creative community.

A sneak preview of select globes will be on view at Jett Gallery starting December 10, through the end of the year.
